BMW R80GS Dirt Island
This ’84 BMW R80GS was sent to us from Tahiti. It arrived in a quite rotted condition and we assume its owner was often riding off road on this one.
We made our decision to go for a “dirt track” look and make its motorcycle look like a sexy and still serious lady.

- 100% handcrafted exhaust pipes;
- 100% stainless steel (both exhaust pipes & mufflers).

- vintage yellow headlight (formerly used on vintage rally cars).
Vintage Yamaha DT tank. Mounted as found.
- Simplified electric wiring. 100% hand made;
- Blitz Motorcycles mini switch connected to the simplifed wiring;
- Posh white grips.
- Fully reconditionned engine (piston, rings, valves, gaskets, etc..);
- fully reconditionned Bing carburators. Fitted with K&N air filters (tuned in accordance);
- matte black high temperature painting of the engine.
100% bespoke tail light (LED) inserted in the handmade rear loop.
Frame, fork legs, engine covers, foot rests, side stand, etc… shiny black powder coated.
Brand new TCI AC/CDI ignition system has been installed on this engine. Allowing the battery to be removed and the bike to be kick started only (upon its owner’s request).
- Front wheel switched from 21 to 18 inches;
- Dunlop K81 tires both rear and front;
- handmade rear loop welded to the genuine frame;
- bespoke seat designed to match the handmade rear loop.
